For the latest updates on the number of operators and stakers contributing to the security of DODOchain, users can refer to EigenLayer’s Actively Validated Service page. This resource details the total number of operators, stakers, and the cumulative value of ETH that has been restaked. Currently, DODOchain is supported by 12,510 stakers, and 29 notable operators such as AltLayer, InfStones, KudasaiJP, and Hashkey Cloud.

Exploring the MACH AVS

AltLayer’s MACH AVS, built on the EigenLayer framework, creates a decentralized network that enhances the validation of optimistic rollups. It ensures block validation by checking new rollup states against their antecedent states and the transactions ordered by the sequencer. If a block is found to be invalid, MACH operators issue alerts. These alerts, if confirmed by a consensus of operators, are sent to subscribing clients like dApps, prompting them to discard the invalid state updates promptly.

MACH operates on top of Ethereum and offers quicker, economically backed confirmations compared to Ethereum’s typical 12-minute finalization time or the rollup sequencer’s preliminary confirmations. It provides:

1. Swift transaction confirmations,
2. Crypto-economic safeguards against malicious actors,
3. Decentralized rollup state validation.

Clients access MACH’s verification services through an RPC endpoint, which ensures the finality of rollup blocks and integrates smoothly with dApps for reliable transaction updates. This setup not only enhances the user experience by ensuring faster and more secure transactions but also supports exchanges, bridges, and other services by enabling quicker access to verified rollup states and blocks, thereby accelerating service delivery. For instance, exchanges or liquidity bridges can reduce the waiting period for withdrawals from rollups to Ethereum, significantly improving operational efficiency.

MOST–the bridge between Aleph Zero and Ethereum–goes live on the Mainnet on May 21st, 2024!

The MOST is expected to facilitate the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications on Aleph Zero by allowing the inflow of liquidity via wrapped assets to the network. EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) is the software platform used to build applications on Ethereum. Not only on Ethereum but also with other protocols that have implemented EVM compatibility. Bringing EVM to Zilliqa opens its ecosystem to the wider blockchain developer community and allows users to use popular wallets such as MetaMask with the Zilliqa ecosystem.

Next Step After Testnet

The next step after this testnet implementation is to bring the first complete release of EVM compatibility to the Zilliqa mainnet, which is set to go live on April 25th, 2023.

Once this EVM implementation launches on the mainnet, users will be able to transfer native ZILs using wallets such as MetaMask. They can also deploy Solidity smart contracts using popular developer tools such as Truffle and Hardhat.

Going forward, EVM compatibility will be expanded to include full interoperability between Scilla and Solidity smart contract standards. This functionality will be phased in first on the testnet and later on the Zilliqa mainnet.

What to expect from EVM on mainnet

Valeriy explains the way EVM compatibility has been implemented on Zilliqa. It is superior to many layer-2 protocols due to the ability to transfer tokens natively without complex and extraneous conversion processes.

“This is a full, complete implementation of EVM compatibility with all the APIs. Most of the dApps will not require any adaptation at all. We have a better implementation than many layer-2 blockchains because one of the things that we’ve decided is to make EVM native to the Zilliqa ecosystem.

There are a small number of exceptions that are already published in our documentation and relate primarily to certain opcodes, but to a significant extent we have fully native EVM compatibility.

The Use of Metamask

This native implementation means people can use wallets like MetaMask. It is the same way they do on other blockchains without worrying about address space differences or converting ZIL tokens.

“EVM accesses the same ZIL as Scilla in the same address space. For example, if I send some ZIL from my account to your account, and you use ZILSwap and I use Metamask, it’s in the same address space. If my smart contract sends ZIL to you, we can exchange value directly without any bridges, without any unnecessary delays. In most layer-2 implementations, you would still have to wrap your tokens and have another token to complete this transfer.

Once this first full EVM compatibility release is live, people can use the same MetaMask setup they already use with other chains. All they will need to do is to move their balances from their Zilliqa wallet to Metamask. Then they can exchange native ZILs among themselves,” Valeriy says.

Additionally, they can write code in Solidity. Deploy that to the mainnet and create dApps using the same tools as you would in any other EVM environment – Truffle, Hardhat

Zilliqa’s EVM compatibility also provides extensive support for API libraries such as Ethers.js and Web3.js. Both of these are working well in the current testnet implementation.

In order to stimulate independent development of NFT + DeFi DApps and attract more technology developers, miners (projects using the PoW consensus), and cryptocurrency holders along with enterprises, institutions, and organizations that need to adopt the blockchain technology, the Waltonchain technical team has completed a dual-chain upgrade, improved cross-chain data transmission and launches the beta testing of the second mainnet — WTA Smart Chain — on 4th Jan 2023.

Features of WTA Smart Chain

1. Introduction of full-network hash power sharing for Waltonchain nodes and dual mining: on the condition of zero new energy consumption, a new blockchain running on PoW consensus is added. It also meets the tamper resistance requirements.
2. In addition, contracts on Solidity 0.6 and higher are supported
3. The difficulty calculating using the x11 hash algorithm
4. Each transaction burns gas at the BaseFee price, slowly decreasing the total supply of WTA
5. Block time: 4 seconds. Block reward: 1 token. Throughput: up to 95 TPS
6. An additional 1/32 reward for finding an uncle block. One block can include up to 2 uncle blocks. This is equivalent to retaining a part of the wasted computing power.

• Total supply: 500,000,000
• Pre-mining: 302,900,000 (61%)
• Swap of already mined tokens: 13,030,905
• PoS mining: 80,000,000.
• Token burn: 29,869,095 of which not less than 20,000,000 cumulatively burns from 2022 to 2027

•  PoW mining: 197,100,000 (39%)

Moreover, in the first 4 years, 21,600 WTA will generate daily. Every 4 years, this number will decrease by 16%.

Furthermore, Waltonchain welcomes community users with a tech background to join the pre-launch beta testing from January 4th to February 28th, 2023. The WTA rewards received during this testing phase shall belong to the testers.

Provided that no major vulnerabilities are found, the operation of the WTA Smart Chain will start right after beta testing ends. Shall WTA Smart Chain require more upgrades Waltonchain will airdrop the swapped version of WTA rewards received during beta testing after the upgrade.

To get to today, we’ve gone through months of building and iteration, followed by the unveiling of our Aries Markets devnet in batches, in order to test each set of improvements in controlled environments before shipping the next.

In similar fashion, they’d like to take an iterative approach to our launch. Aries Markets will be doing a ‘soft launch’ with some training wheels (elaborated further below), keeping in mind the nascence of the Aptos network and the inherent risks of DeFi.

Security is of prime consideration at Aries Markets. They have gone through both internal and external security audits, and will be publishing a detailed article of the reports soon.
