]]> The Space is thrilled to announce a collaboration with Polygon and Polygon Studios. Polygon, Ethereum’s Internet of blockchains, is a protocol and framework for constructing and connecting Ethereum-compatible (ETH) blockchain networks.

The Space integration with Polygon will allow 1 million non-fungible token (NFT) and their creators to mint NFTs on the Polygon chain network, thereby avoiding large gas fees and saving on network congestion time, while fully enjoying the incredible speed of the network and security.

With Polygon, a pixel co-creation art game like The Space becomes more accessible and full of possibilities. It is with great pleasure that we have joined forces with Polygon and Polygon Studios.

The Space, powered by Matters Lab, aims to create a fair and commonly owned public space exploring Partial Common Ownership. They created a blockchain-based pixel canvas where each pixel is a non-fungible token. Traded under Harberger Tax, one of the most discussed designs of PCO. Then use the Universal Basic Income(UBI) concept to distribute the majority of the tax collected. Because everyone gets a basic income, the game is more equal and sustainable. The result is a permanent public space that is constantly evolving, governed by the market, in the form of a collaborative pixel graffiti wall.Plans are underway for players to own and govern The Space completely through SpaceDAO.
