The CyberConnect zkProfile enables any Web2 or Web3 applications (mobile or desktop) to verify users’ on-chain data and off-chain data without the need to connect a wallet. Using zkProfile, applications inside and also outside the CyberConnect ecosystem can identify real users with real on-chain activities. Furthermore, the zkProfile allows users to interact with Manta ecosystem projects with privacy, and your long-time-built valuable identity without disclosing your wallet address. Manta’s ecosystem projects enable a key Manta-based innovation, the Proof Key, to allow Manta’s zkSBT verification to be integrated in any web3 or web3 applications (mobile or desktop).

Eligibility & Minting a zkProfile

Anyone with a CyberConnect Profile and 10 or more Web3 Status Tokens (W3STs) are eligible to mint a CyberConnect zkProfile. If you don’t currently have 10 W3STs, don’t worry. All you have to do is collect 10 through CyberConnect activities; once you have received them, you are eligible to mint a zkProfile!

Once you qualify to mint, you need to go to the Manta NPO website and connect your CyberConnect-compatible wallet as well as the Manta Wallet. The NPO will check for your eligibility as a CyberConnect user with Web3 Status Tokens (W3STs).

For detailed instructions, you can view their guide on how to mint a zkSBT. The minted zkSBT will be stored on your Manta Wallet, where you can manage your private and also public cryptoassets (including cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and SBTs).

The Existing On-Chain Identity Problem

With the current state of public blockchains, every on-chain action is recorded, immutable, and fully transparent. While this transparency was originally necessary to provide trustless verifiability, it created many issues around surveillance, non-consenting data access, and, ultimately, an infringement on user safety and security when performing actions on-chain.
