Football player Sean Culkin Gets Paid In Bitcoin

Sean Culkin, an American football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs will be paid with bitcoin. 

The NFL player announced in a tweet that he wants his entire salary be paid in bitcoin. That will be $920,000 estimated base salary.

Facilitating the bitcoin payment is Strike by Zap, a payment processor that uses layer 2 lightning network for easy and fast bitcoin transaction.

The NFL player joins football star Russel Okung in accepting bitcoin as an alternative mode of payment for their salary.
