Tesla will stop accepting bitcoin for payments. 

Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter to tell the news about the company’s stance on bitcoin.

The tweet states Tesla will suspend bitcoin payments on purchases of electric vehicles due to excessive usage of energy.

The CEO further states it will not sell any of its Bitcoin holdings and will use it when BTC mining transitions to more sustainable energy.

The price of bitcoin has took a direct hit after the announcement.
