Binance Reminds Bitcoin Total Supply

Published on: 16.05.2021

The energy consumption of bitcoin mining has made other big name investors to shy away from it.

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance is quick to remind everyone about bitcoin.

Bitcoin has a finite supply.

It has a fixed total supply of only 21 Million. As of the moment, total bitcoin in existence is 18,711,300.

That left 2,288,700 BTC left to be mined. 144 blocks per day are mined on average, and there are 6.25 bitcoins per block. 144 x 6.25 is 900 bitcoin, the  average amount of mined bitcoin per day.

Last mined bitcoin will happen sometime in 2140 when the last Bitcoin halving is expected to occur.

Scarcity will follow once there are no more mined bitcoin.
