Wanchain Network Upgrade
Wanchain announced upgrade that will be available beginning Monday, May 31st at 08:00 UTC.
This network upgrade further improves Wanchain’s decentralisation, security and stability.
Decentralisation
- Storeman nodes now only need to connect with BootNode when starting up for the first time;
- Storeman nodes will now automatically discover their nearest neighbour node.
Security
- Storeman nodes now only receive information from their neighbouring nodes. This greatly increases the difficulty and cost for would-be malicious nodes to mount an attack.
Stability
- The Storeman node messaging mechanism is changed from p2p to broadcast. This reduces the probability of a message failing to reach its intended target.
