Banking Giant BNY Mellon Sets Up A New Digital Innovation Hub In Ireland

BNY Mellon,the world’s largest custodian bank with $2.2 Trillion assets under management and $41.7 Trillion assets under custody has set up a new unit in Dublin Ireland.

According to Business Post, Digital Innovation Hub,the new Irish unit will act as custodian of digital assets such as bitcoin,non fungible tokens ,central bank digital currencies and others.

This is to ensure customers can hold,transfer and issue digital assets conveniently.

The “bank of banks” has started its foray in cryptocurrency back in February and is yet to announced when they will start allowing clients to trade and hold cryptocurrency.
