Philippine E-Wallet Platform GCash Explores Cryptocurrency

Leading Philippine e-wallet GCash is exploring the potential of cryptocurrency to add up on its impressive portfolio of financial products and services.

GCash CEO and President Martha Saxon said in an interview in Phil Star news website that the company is looking for ways to offer selling,buying and storing cryptocurrency in the platform.

GCash allows its users to shop, save, invest or get insurance coverage such as GInvest, GSave and GInsure services.

If this pushes through,GCash will follow the likes of Paypal and Square’s CashApp to allow its users access to cryptocurrencies.
