Thorstarter Strategic Sale Guide
Thorstarter introduced guide how to participate in Strategic Sale.
The strategic round will stay open for approximately 2.5 days — the pending approval window for the THOR $RUNE-$XRUNE pool. Once approved, the Strategic Round will end and the public round will begin.
The strategic round sale price will be $0.01 USD. Total emissions for strategic sale is 75,000,000.
🔹Thorstarter Public Sale Stages
The Thorstarter Public Sale is split between two phases:
- Strategic Sale (what this guide is for) on Thorchain.
- General Public Sale on SushiSwap (not covered here).
The Strategic Sale is an opportunity for Thorchain supporters — ie, anyone who holds native RUNE — to acquire XRUNE by becoming a RUNE-XRUNE LP on Thorchain.
Please note you need native RUNE to participate. Please watch this video by LP university if you need help.
🔹Thorstarter Strategic Sale — How To Participate
The steps to participate in the Thorstarter strategic sale are straightforward.
Before starting, you should be holding some native RUNE in an XDEFI wallet. If you already have a keystore wallet, you can import this into XDEFI. However, XDEFI will be necessary for the sale.
The amount of RUNE should be at least what you intend to contribute to the Strategic Sale round.
Step 1: Download and Install XDEFI Wallet
To download XDEFI, do so by visiting this page on the Chrome Web Store and installing the XDEFI extension.
You will need a custom access code to use the wallet. New activation codes will be shared in the days leading up to the sale.
Step 2: Transfer RUNE to Your Thorchain Address on XDEFI
You must have *native* RUNE in your Thorchain wallet on XDEFI in order to participate in the public Strategic Sale.
BEP2 RUNE (BNB.RUNE) will not work.
Your Thorchain address should begin with ‘thor..’
Step 3: Go to the Strategic Sale page on the Thorstarter website
There will be a custom page/UI on Thorstarter.org to participate. The page URL will be shared in the days leading up to the sale.
Step 4: Connect Your XDEFI Wallet
Click the bright green ‘CONNECT WALLET’ button.
Confirm your account and connect XDEFI when the extension pops up. You are now ready to deposit RUNE and become a RUNE-XRUNE LP.
Step 5: Deposit RUNE
After entering how much RUNE you want to provide and checking the latest XRUNE price and estimated amount, your LP position will have, click on the “Deposit Rune” button.
XDEFI should pop up twice. The first time for the Ethereum transaction, that will give you 1 XRUNE and send it to THORChain for the asset side of the LP position. The second time for the native THORChain transaction sending the RUNE for your LP position.
When this is completed you are now an XRUNE-RUNE LP on THORChain! Feel free to monitor your LP on THORSwap or RuneYield.info.
