Umbrella Network Went Live on Binance Smart Chain
A community-owned Layer-2 oracle, Umbrella Network went live on Binance Smart Chain. Being live on BSC it is an important milestone within the Umbrella ecosystem. It aims to alleviate the burdens of users due to the extremely high transaction fees using the Ethereum blockchain.
The BSC mainnet launched marks a major milestone in the development of the project as they transition to a live, deployed product and platform. From this point forward they begin to gain market adoption and look to have other applications integrate into their platform and start utilizing Umbrella’s oracles.
The announcement made by Umbrella Network today is a fulfillment of the plans outlined in their 2021 roadmap previously published on June 22, 2021
The rest of 2021 will be focused on three major objectives:
- To gain market adoption and real use case scenarios with applications as we grow our ecosystem
- To continue our path towards decentralization, with the growth of our validator network and development of decentralized governance, and
- To further our path towards multi-chain interoperability as we integrate into more blockchains.
So far the platform already accepting applications from those interested in becoming Umbrella Network’s first cohort of community validators (sign up here), they plan to flip the switch and turn it on in the month of July, after launching on BSC mainnet.
