High Performance Blockchain (HPB) MainNet V1.0.8.0 Released

High Performance Blockchain (HPB) is a revolutionary permissionless blockchain architecture that combines HPB’s customized hardware Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE), with high-performance blockchain software, enabling unrivaled scalability.

HPB Team has always been dedicated to the research, development and optimization of  the HPB MainNet, and is doing its best to provide more efficient, safer, and more stable network experience. Right now, HPB MainNet V1.0.8.0 has been developed and tested, and will be officially released and launched.

HPB MainNet V1.0.8.0 improves the compatibility of HPB MainNet with Ethereum, fixes bugs occurring when BOE and nodes synchronize, and makes the MainNet ready for upcoming Dynamic Node Mining and Anonymous Payment Programs. Therefore the latest version shall be a mandatory upgrade, and will take effect at the block height of 11850000 around 10AM 15 September 2021 (GMT+8). HP-Nodes are notified to complete the upgrade to V1.0.8.0 by the effective time. Nodes that are not upgraded in time may cause forks and affect the MainNet operation and node revenue.

HPB UPGRADE HIGHLIGHT:

Compatibility

• Completed the built-in instructions (Create2) and precompiled function (blake2b) of EVM;
• Reduced Gas fee of the precompiled function, which takes effect when its block number is specified;
• To be consistent with Ethereum, the Gas fee of common transactions were adjusted;
• Added trace function for transactions on MainNet

FUNCTION

• Added a precompiled function (zscverify) to the Anonymous Payment verification, which will take effect when the block number is specified;
• Recreated the consensus algorithm to support the upcoming dynamic node mining;
• updated blockset of the DAO governance contract

BUGS FIXES

• Checked BOE and the server are unbound when the nodes are connected;
• Fixed the bug of “chain re-orged during section processing”
