Xion Global Launching Beta Payments Platform
The next generation of payments portals, Xion Global has announced the launch of its beta payments platform. Xion aims to be a Web3 Stripe facilitating payments for thousands of merchants and their customers when they shop on online stores and at zero costs.
Xion Global will launch the beta payments platform in early September where it will feature only a few merchants who will be required to provide feedback after utilizing the system. Suggestions on possible UX/UI changes, improvements and bugs will be obtained from these merchants. This will span 6 weeks giving enough room for the Xion team to make the platform ready for public launch.
The beta launch of the marketplace will revolve around XGT and xDAI tokens. As such, purchases can only be made with these tokens until other payment means are onboarded. The implementation of fiat payments is slated for Q1, 2022. Xion Global is also considering integrating other cryptocurrencies before the end of the year including ETH, BTC, USDC & others.
