Thetan Arena x Yield Guild Games Collaboration

YGG adds mobile friendly-game to its growing catalog of play-to-earn games by partnering with Thetan Arena, an e-sport Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game based on blockchain technology.

The game allows players to gather friends, form a team, battle with others and earn token rewards with a combination of gaming skills and teamwork.

YGG has made an investment in Thetan Arena’s token sale and purchased 250 Common Heroes, 100 Epic Heroes, and 50 Legendary Heroes. Thetan Arena could also host tournaments for YGG scholars to earn yield. Once Thetan Arena builds the infrastructure to lend out NFTs, YGG will also be able to offer scholarship programs to let its player-base participate in Thetan Arena’s play-to-earn model.

Thetan Arena comes with various types of in-game NFTs called Heroes. Each of them has a unique special ability called “Fury” and has various types of rarity. Heroes with a higher rarity have more unique play styles, abilities, and will have a chance to get bonuses in battle rewards. Users can also gear their Heroes up with a selection of hundreds of weapons.

Sarutobi Sasuke, Head of Partnerships at YGG highlighted the popularity of the MOBA game genre among YGG’s most competitive gamers. “This partnership will hopefully allow large numbers of the YGG community to jump into a new and exciting play-to-earn game and also look to hone their battling skills in a skill-based competitive MOBA environment,” he added.
