Cartesi’s October 2021 Development Recap


Cartesi released October Development Update covering Rollups, updates to architecture & implementation, Texas HODL’em, progress towards the MVP showcase & more.
The major developments were:
🔹Cartesi Rollups: Continued implementation of the Cartesi Rollups infrastructure.
- Updates on the implementation of the Rollup Machine Manager, a service that will act as an interface between the high-level Rollup logic and the Cartesi Machine.
- Completed architectural updates on the Cartesi Machine Emulator to support the Rollups requirements.
- Researched ways to improve the rollup interaction of the userspace software that will run inside the machine.
🔹Noether’s PoS Delegation System
- Released Noether’s Beta Release on Mainnet that included limited pools and caps. Testing was very secure and smooth.
- Released Noether’s Full Release on Mainnet.

🔹Texas HODL’em Poker: progress towards the full MVP implementation.
- Poker Verifier fully integrated to the TurnBasedGame smart contracts, so that a game can be started on the blockchain and later on replayed and verified by Descartes Validator Nodes
- Progress on porting the client app to Electron: completed basic web app port and initial binding to native Poker Engine modules (Mac + Linux)
- Improvements and adjustments to Poker app logic, especially showdown rules
🔹Miscellaneous
- Improvements on the Descartes Machine Manager
- Research on improving the boot process of the Linux OS that runs inside the machine.
