Argentina FA signs Bybit to two-year main global sponsor deal
The Argentina Football Association (AFA), the national soccer governing body, has named cryptocurrency trading platform Bybit as the main global sponsor of all its national teams.
The two-year partnership comes a year ahead of the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, for which Argentina has now qualified.
As the company looks to raise its profile within the Latin American market, Bybit’s branding will appear on all training apparel for the length of the deal and will have visibility across the AFA’s various other assets.
“Adding a brand in the clothing of our teams is very important,” said Leandro Petersen, the AFA’s commercial and marketing manager.
“In these years we have carried out a strategy of commercial and brand growth around the world, opening strategic markets where AFA does not have a presence in, generating various business units to strengthen AFA’s revenues, and launching new digital products for fans around the world.”
Claudio Tapia, President of the AFA, added: “We know that 2022 will be a very important year due to the skills we have and without a doubt, this will give the national team enormous visibility.
“We welcome Bybit to the Argentine Football Association, and appreciate the trust they place in our projects.”
