1 . Mining for Gas

Crabada is the highest gas-consuming Dapp on the Avalanche Network

Crabada currently takes up roughly 16% of the gas used on the Avalanche Network, with gas consumption sitting at ~262 $AVAX/hr (~$22k USD/hr).

$TUS will be the gas token on the Swimmer Network! Our beloved and hardworking Crabada will now power the the Swimmer Network!

They are targeting a ~85% reduction in operational costs for players with the move to Swimmer Network. In addition, a percentage of network fees will be burnt. The initial burn rate is projected at ~25% of all network fees, and planned to be scaled up to ~80% as the network grows.

2. Fee-Cover Model

One key innovation of the Swimmer Network is the Fee-Cover Model.

This feature reduces onboarding friction by supporting players to play games without having to acquire gas tokens in the first place.

Games will have the ability to subsidize/spend gas on behalf of their players. This feature can be configured on/off at the discretion of the game maker. This opens up many possibilities for a smooth onboarding experience.

3. Ecosystem Grants

By the end of Q1, we will be onboarding the first cohort of recipients for the Swimmer Network Ecosystem Grants.

1.25M $CRA has been set aside for 2022 as a part of Ecosystem Grants for following categories:

a. Community Developers (Tools/Applications)
b. Community Contributors (Ambassador Program v2)
c. New Games

4. Validators for the Swimmer Network

Validators are required to run an Avalanche Node, and stake $CRA on a time-lock validator contract for the duration of validation.

Validators will earn the balance of network fees after burning, based on the the weight of their staked $CRA.

The Great Crabada Migration

The Crabada Idle-Game and marketplace is expected to be migrated onto the Swimmer Network by the end of March. The Idle-Game and Marketplace will no longer be available on C-Chain after migration takes place.

Players will have to bridge their assets from Avalanche C-Chain to the Swimmer Network in order to continue playing the Crabada Idle-Game, or use the Crabada Marketplace.
