Celer cBridge Partners with PlatON

Published on: 12.04.2022

Celer Network is excited to announce the planned bridging support for PlatON. Users will soon be able to bridge WETH, WBTC, USDC, USDT, DAI, GRT, and LINK via the Open Canonical Token Standard between ETH and PlatON in a fast, secure and low-cost fashion.

PlatON is a multi-faceted next generation Internet infrastructure protocol. They aim to build a decentralized and collaborative AI network and global brain to drive the democratization of AI for safe artificial general intelligence by combining blockchain and privacy-preserving computation technologies. By building a computing system comprised of various technologies like Verifiable Computation, Secure Multi-Party Computation, Zero-Knowledge Proof, Homomorphic Encryption and other cryptographic algorithms and blockchain technology, It is clear that PlatON is building with “Computing interoperability” as one of it core features.

By following the Open Canonical Token Standard, Celer’s bridging support for the PlatON will start with WETH, WBTC, USDC, USDT, DAI, GRT, and LINK , and will extend to other tokens going forward, outlining a more secure and flexible approach to facilitate interoperability between PlatON and the broader blockchain space.

Celer will keep working with other core interoperability contributors to promote the open standard as a default deployment model. Massive efforts have been seen from different chains and protocols like PlatON in raising the awareness of phasing out bridging practices that come with innate vendor lock-in implications. What this will mean is a future blockchain space with not only just workable interoperability, but more decentralized, secure and upgradable cross-chain potential.

ABOUT PlatON
PlatON was initiated and promoted by the LatticeX Foundation. Based on the basic properties of the blockchain and supported by a privacy-preserving computing network, PlatON provides the next-generation Internet basic protocol featuring “computing interoperability”. It builds a computing system jointly assembled by cryptographic algorithms such as verifiable computing, secure multi-party computing, zero-knowledge proof, homomorphic encryption, and blockchain technology to provide public infrastructure under an open-source architecture for global artificial intelligence, distributed application developers, data providers as well as various institutions, communities, and individuals with computing needs.
