Celer cBridge Partners with Nervos
Celer cBridge partners with Nervos to enable cross-chain asset transfers for Godwoken. Celer Network is excited to announce that they have completed the required integrations on cBridge in order to support Nervos Network’s EVM-compatible layer 2—Godwoken.
Users are now able to bridge USDT, USDC, ETH, WBTC, and DAI between Ethereum and Nervos Godwoken via the Open Canonical Token Standard. They also have plans to expand this list of supported tokens as well as open up generic message passing with Celer IM.
KNOWING NERVOS NETWORK
The Nervos Network is an open-source public blockchain ecosystem and collection of protocols. Aiming to create the foundation for a universal internet-like public network, a blockchain platform for universal applications so to speak.
Their unique multi-layered blockchain platform allows a wide variety of dApps to be built within their ecosystem. It is also is empowers by its incredibly secure Layer 1. An optimized Nakamoto consensus is secured with ASIC-backed Proof-of-Work. Secured by Nervos’ Layer 1 through the use of an optimistic roll-up, their Godwoken Layer 2 ensures high throughput and security.
Combined with its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support, it enables developers to employ Ethereum contracts while keeping transactions scalable, fast, and low-cost. The hope is to help propel Nervos to be the future-proof blockchain platform of choice for developers.
Their focus on interoperability within the ecosystem aligns well with Celer’s own views and goals. They are excited to see how they develop and what they can do to help facilitate the interoperable future they are all aiming for.
By following the Open Canonical Token Standard, Celer’s bridging support for Godwoken has started with USDT, USDC, ETH, WBTC, and DAI. Additionally, with plans to extend to other tokens going forward, outlining a more secure and flexible approach to facilitate interoperability between Nervos and the broader blockchain space.
Furthermore, Celer will keep working with other core interoperability contributors to promote the open standard as a default deployment model. Massive efforts have been seen from different chains and protocols like Nervos in raising the awareness of phasing out bridging practices that come with innate vendor lock-in implications. What this will mean is a future blockchain space with not only just workable interoperability but more decentralized, secure, and upgradable cross-chain potential.
ABOUT Celer Network
Celer is a blockchain interoperability protocol. Enabling a one-click user experience accessing tokens, DeFi, GameFi, NFTs, governance, privacy solutions, and more across multiple chains. Developers can build inter-chain-native dApps using the Celer Inter-chain Message SDK. In addition, they can also gain access to efficient liquidity utilization, coherent application logic, and shared states. Furthermore, users of Celer-enabled dApps will enjoy the benefits of a diverse multi-blockchain ecosystem. With the simplicity of a single-transaction UX, all from a single chain.
ABOUT Nervos Network
The Nervos Network is a collection of protocols and a public blockchain ecosystem. Aiming to solve the biggest challenges facing blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum today. The Nervos Common Knowledge Base (CKB) is layer 1. A proof of work, public permissionless blockchain protocol of the Nervos Network. It allows any crypto asset to stores with the security, immutability, and permissionless nature of Bitcoin. It also enables smart contracts and layer 2 scaling. Its unique crypto-economic model is designed to better align the interests of users. Not only users but also developers, and miners as compared to first-generation blockchains.
