Sonic’s Security Measures and Threat Prevention

Sonic, formerly known as Fantom, has implemented a comprehensive security framework to safeguard its blockchain ecosystem. A pivotal component of this strategy is the integration of TRM Labs’ advanced fraud detection tools, enhancing transaction monitoring and risk management to prevent financial crimes and ensure institutional asset security.
In a proactive move to fortify its infrastructure, Sonic collaborated with Beosin to conduct a thorough security audit of its HyperFuse Guardian Nodes. This audit identified and addressed potential vulnerabilities, reinforcing the network’s integrity and reliability.
To further bolster security, Sonic partnered with Immunefi to launch a $2 million bug bounty program. This initiative incentivizes white-hat hackers to identify and report vulnerabilities, particularly in the Sonic Gateway bridge, which facilitates asset transfers between Ethereum and Sonic. Such measures underscore Sonic’s commitment to maintaining a secure and resilient blockchain environment.
Additionally, Sonic has introduced the Sonic Gateway, a secure bridge designed to enable efficient and decentralized token transfers between Ethereum and Sonic. This bridge is secured by validators operating on both networks, ensuring that no centralized entity can access funds in transit. A fail-safe mechanism is also in place, allowing users to withdraw their funds on Ethereum if issues persist for more than 14 days, acting as a form of insurance for bridge users.
Through these multifaceted security measures, Sonic demonstrates its dedication to providing a robust and trustworthy platform for developers and users alike.
