2,000 Petabytes Of Unstoppable IPFS Storage Will Be Available For Elrond NFTs And dApps Via Decentralized Storage Solutions From Crust
Elrond Network is excited to announce its collaboration with Crust Network, a decentralized storage network that offers powerful distributed storage solutions for building unstoppable dApps.
Through this collaboration, developers building on the Elrond Network will gain access to over 2,000 Petabytes of storage on more than 7,000 IPFS servers spread all over the world.
The InterPlanetary File System is a distributed file system deployed over a network of peers that store redundant pieces of encrypted data, resulting in a truly decentralized, highly available, and unstoppable storage layer for building Web 3.0 applications.
Crust Network deploys a suite of comprehensive storage solutions on top of IPFS, which enables Elrond users and developers to store and retrieve encrypted data for a number of use-cases.
- Files – a lightweight and open-source Web3.0 application that provides decentralized storage space for storage users. Elrond users will soon be able to log in with Maiar, upload files and folders to IPFS with just a few clicks, and get dozens of replicas with Crust’s decentralized storage network.
- Pins (coming soon) – a simple Web3.0 application that decentralizes pins for any given CID (IPFS Content ID) to IPFS for long-term storage. Pins are especially beneficial to NFT users and NFT-related application developers because Pins solve the critical problem of making NFTs’ metadata permanent on the web.
- Hosts (coming soon) – a simple Web3.0 application that helps decentralized hosting for any given web content, static web pages, and front-ends.
