Elrond Network x Crust Partnership
Elrond Network & Crust Network announced strategic collaboration, so Elrond Network will gain access to over 2,000 Petabytes of storage on more than 7,000 IPFS servers spread all over the world.
IPFS is a distributed file system deployed over a network of peers that store redundant pieces of encrypted data, resulting in a truly decentralized, highly available and unstoppable storage layer for building Web 3.0 applications.
Crust Network deploys a suite of comprehensive storage solutions on top of IPFS, which enables Elrond users and developers to store and retrieve encrypted data for a number of usecases.
“The combination of the Elrond internet-scale blockchain protocol and unstoppable storage solutions, such as the ones offered by Crust Network, create a solid trust layer for the new digital economy, on top of which the next generation of powerful Web 3.0 applications can be deployed.” said Lucian Mincu, Elrond Network CIO.
“When researching Elrond tech we discovered several great functions and features that will allow deep integration with the Crust Network decentralized storage layer, which will set the premises for developers to deploy an abundance of use cases that rely on efficient and highly available end-to-end encrypted data storage.” said Luke Fan, Crust Network CTO.
About Elrond
Elrond is a new blockchain architecture, designed from scratch to bring a 1,000-fold cumulative improvement in throughput and execution speed. To achieve this, Elrond introduces two key innovations: a novel Adaptive State Sharding mechanism, and a Secure Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm, enabling linear scalability with a fast, efficient, and secure consensus mechanism. Thus, Elrond can process upwards of 10,000 transactions per second (TPS), with 5-second latency, and negligible cost, attempting to become the backbone of a permissionless, borderless, globally accessible internet economy.
About Crust Network
Crust Network is essentially an IPFS incentive layer protocol and a substrate-based blockchain that builds a decentralized storage network of Web3.0 ecosystem. Funded by DCF (Decentralized Cloud Foundation), it is designed to build a decentralized cloud ecosystem that values data privacy and ownership.
