The SAND Play Game Jam

The Sandbox in collaboration with Round21 announced next slam-dunking game design contest — the SAND Play Game Jam.

Using The Sandbox’s Game Maker software, you will need to create a sports-related experience, whether it is based on a real sport — modern or past — or something straight out of your creative imagination.

It is also up to you whether the player participates in the sport. For example, you could create a game where the player needs to compete against another team in a sport, a game where the player needs to help manage a sporting event, an educational diorama where the player can learn about a historic sport, and so on.

🔸The Prizes

The prize pool consists of a total of 50,000 SAND split the following ways.

1st place: 20,000 SAND.
2nd place: 10,000 SAND.
3rd place: 6,000 SAND.
4th to 10th place: 2,000 SAND each.

🔸The Importantly Dates

Don’t forget to jog these dates down!

The Game Jam begins on the 24th December 2021.
The deadline to complete and submit your entry is the 9th January 2022, at 11:59pm UTC.
The voting will take place between the 10th and 17th January 2022.
The results will be announced on the 22nd January 2022.
