Capi joins Algorand Ecosystem as its Latest Grant Recipient

 Algorand Foundation Grant Program is pleased to announce Capi as its latest Grant recipient.

Capi allows business owners to quickly create a public company using the Algorand blockchain. It’s a simple platform that combines crowdfunding with investing, making it easy to finance and profit from real-world businesses.

Business owners use the app to name their projects and choose a token supply and price. Investors buy tokens to automatically receive a share of the profit. Tokens can be sold or traded, so holders are incentivized to promote the business. This encourages value to flow both ways, with business owners and investors collaborating to pursue common goals.

Capi was created by Ivan Schuetz, a software developer who has contributed to various open-source projects on the Algorand ecosystem.  Ivan saw the need for a new form of investment vehicle – one that allows investors to support and profit from ideas they believe in, especially in their communities, with the blockchain-based benefits of decentralization, transparency and easy composability with other applications.

With the benefit of this grant, Capi will further expand the platform, engage resources to conduct comprehensive testing, develop a marketing strategy, and pay for legal fees as required.
