A Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Ledger And Shopify For Security Breach

A class action lawsuit is filed against Ledger and e-commerce company Shopify by affected users involved in the data breach last year.

Georgia natives John Chu and Edward Baton has filed a complaint in The United States District Court, Northern District of Columbia for the loss of assets stored in their Ledger wallets.

The charges states Ledger company did not inform the users nor acknowledge the data breach last July 2020 until it was widely known in December.

Shopify is also charged because it is the direct e-commerce vendor of Ledger wallets.

The complaint seeks to have compensation of 4.2 BTC, 11 ETH and 150,000 XLM and other damages.
