The Graph Protocol AI Service has been introduced. To bring AI capabilities to life, Agentc, a ChatGPT-like tool built on The Graph’s Uniswap data, has been released as a public demo!

Available for a brief two-week window, this tool uses The Graph to facilitate natural language interactions with blockchain data. It encourages users to play around with Agentc to visualize the impact of The Graph as AI infrastructure and share feedback with the team. Following this public demo period, Semiotic will open-source the codebase for Agentc, promoting further innovation by developers across the ecosystem.

Two Innovative AI Services

By introducing two innovative AI services, The Graph is entering a new era of decentralized AI. These services leverage The Graph’s extensive historical data and robust decentralized infrastructure to deliver a reliable and censorship-resistant platform for deploying and running AI models. The services unleash new ways for dapps to integrate AI into their applications and a new chapter for bringing AI to web3 data.

Inference Service
Enables developers to host AI models using The Graph’s already established, decentralized, and efficient marketplace of Indexers for computing. By serving AI models on The Graph, developers benefit from reliable infrastructure with proven protocol economics that support scalable AI model deployment and inference – thus enabling dapps to natively integrate AI, such as ChatGPT-like features, directly into their frontends.

Agent Service
It further empowers developers to build autonomous, AI-driven dapps capable of complex interactions within blockchain environments.

The Graph’s AI Services

Building an Inference Service to empower decentralized AI applications (AI dapps) built on
The Graph’s decentralized infrastructure and, optionally, using web3 data.

Inference is running a neural network using inputs a user provides. For example,
when you send a prompt to ChatGPT, OpenAI uses your prompt as an input to a neural network and performs inference for you.

The Inference Service will be used to build decentralized AI applications. The Graph expects that some AI dapps will be decentralized versions of centralized applications, e.g., decentralized clones of ChatGPT, and some AI dapps will be web3-native and use blockchain data queried from The Graph. They call these decentralized AI dapps and web3-native AI dapps, respectively.

Banxa, the leading on-and-off ramp solution for web3, has integrated with The Graph, the leading decentralized infrastructure protocol, to allow users to pay with fiat currency to access blockchain data organized by The Graph. This integration, now available directly in The Graph’s user interface, decreases barriers to decentralized protocols and provides a way to access blockchain data as easily as with methods common in traditional SaaS products. The integration also marks the first use of Banxa’s new OpenRamp product, which enables fiat payments to directly interact with smart contracts, opening up a broad array of use cases and more fluid crypto experiences.

By leveraging Banxa’s new OpenRamp, The Graph offers direct access to blockchain data without the need for users to engage with centralized exchanges or platforms. Banxa’s integration fulfills all fiat transactions directly to The Graph’s billing contracts, so dapp developers and data consumers alike can start using The Graph’s decentralized network for any indexing needs without having to complete multiple transactions between fiat and crypto. As the internet continues to move towards an increasingly decentralized, multi-chain future with web3, it will be more essential than ever for users to be able to transact seamlessly across protocols and networks using their preferred currencies and methods of payment.

The Graph’s integration with Banxa has created an entirely new way to empower B2B2C projects in both Web2 and Web3 by providing the ability to pay in a way familiar to common software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms using Banxa’s vast array of payment methods. This capability paves the way for a user experience on par with traditional enterprise SaaS models while maintaining all the benefits of decentralized technology, unlocking an ecosystem in which all fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto interactions can occur.

About The Graph

The Graph is the indexing and query layer of web3. Developers build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, that applications can query using GraphQL. The Graph currently supports indexing data from over 39 different networks including Ethereum, NEAR, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Celo, Fantom, Moonbeam, IPFS, Cosmos Hub and PoA with more networks coming soon. To date, 74,000+ subgraphs have been deployed on the hosted service. Tens of thousands of developers use The Graph for applications such as Uniswap, Synthetix, KnownOrigin, Art Blocks, Gnosis, Balancer, Livepeer, DAOstack, Audius, Decentraland, and many others.

About BANXA Holdings Inc.

Banxa’s mission is to accelerate the world to Web3 with its leading global on-and-off ramp solution. Through its extensive network of local payment solutions p‍aired with the required crypto licences, Banxa gives its partners and projects access to global audiences with less friction and higher conversions. Banxa has a global team of Web3 natives – with operating headquarters in the USA, Europe and APAC regions.

The Graph has added Gnosis Chain to its network. The Graph Foundation is pleased to announce the next incentivization program for Indexers: Migration Infrastructure Providers (MIPs). The MIPs program bootstraps Indexers to add support for new chains on the decentralized network, enabling the migration of multi-chain subgraphs.

This is a critical expansion of support for dapps and subgraph migration ahead of the sunsetting of the hosted service. Every dapp, regardless of what chain it is built on, deserves decentralized and open APIs—ensuring decentralized access to blockchain data is crucial for building a robust, secure, and reliable web3.

Furthermore, the MIPs program has allocated 0.75% of the GRT supply (50M GRT), with 0.5% to reward Indexers who contribute to bootstrapping the network and 0.25% allocated to migration grants for subgraph developers using multi-chain subgraphs. The program builds on the success of Mission Control, which introduced the first generation of Indexers to the network by accelerating network readiness and infrastructure.

In addition, the Graph Network expanding multi-chain support is a historic step forward for the web3 ecosystem and the incentivized MIPs program prepares Indexers to reliably index and serve queries in a multi-chain environment. That multi-chain environment begins with the addition of a new chain on The Graph Network.

The first chain that will be supported on the decentralized network is Gnosis Chain.

Formerly known as xDAI, Gnosis Chain is an EVM-based chain that will be the first to be supported on the network. Gnosis Chain was selected as the first given its user-friendliness of running nodes, Indexer readiness, alignment with The Graph, and adoption within web3.

Moreover, new chains will be announced throughout the MIPs program, based on Indexer readiness, demand, and community sentiment. In addition, chains will firstly be supported on the testnet. Subsequently, a GIP will be passed to support that chain on the mainnet.

Furthermore, indexers participating in the MIPs program will choose which chains they are interested in supporting and will earn rewards per chain. In addition to earning query fees and indexing rewards on the network for serving subgraphs. MIPs participants will be scored based on their performance, ability to serve network needs, as well as community support.

Indexers who intend to support Gnosis on The Graph Network should begin syncing their Gnosis Chain nodes now.

ABOUT The Graph

The Graph is the indexing and query layer of web3. Developers build and publish open APIs, called subgraphs, that applications can query using GraphQL.

Website | Twitter

ABOUT Gnosis Chain

Gnosis Chain is an EVM-compatible scaling solution designed for low-cost, high-speed transactions. Gnosis Chain is technically a new chain. Late in 2021, Gnosis merged with xDAI Chain. Previously, Gnosis was an Ethereum project spun out of ConsenSys. Specialized in prediction markets, decentralized exchanges, and wallet solutions. The xDAI Chain is a standalone network build for fast and inexpensive transactions.
