Digital Standard Unit and its seignorage token Empty Set Share are now LIVE on Polygon!
The addition of DSU and ESS on Polygon will allow thier community and the DeFi space to have access to a stable asset that they can use in the same way they would any stable coin. DSU keeps your collateral safe while you use DSU on Polygon.
About Empty Set Share and Digital Standard Unit
DSU is a fully collateralized based on USDC, and the DAO has the ability to change the stable asset that collateralizes the stable asset. This is critical with regard to the concerns about stable coin security and censorship. The USDC that is placed into the DAO is then used through market operations to generate yield. That yield is accrued to the reserve, which ESS token controls. For an in depth explanation of the architecture, click here.
Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting Secured Chains like Plasma, Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium etc and Standalone Chains like Polygon POS, designed for flexibility and independence. Polygon’s scaling solutions have seen widespread adoption with 350+ Dapps, ~128M txns and ~1M+ unique users.
If you’re an Ethereum Developer, you’re already a Polygon developer! Leverage Polygon’s fast and secure txns for your Dapp, get started here.
