Big Update: Lympo Joins Polygon Studios to Bridge NFTs to Polygon and Develop Play-to-Earn Blockchain Games
Important: the bridge to Polygon will start on November 3rd at 23:59 UTC and end on November 4th at 10:00 UTC. Any Lympo NFTs minted or credits earned during this time will not be accounted for. We’ll snapshot all of the account data on November 3rd at 23:59 UTC, and transfer all of your Lympo NFTs and credits to the Polygon blockchain automatically. The Athlete and REVV Motorsport pools will be moved to Polygon, the O’lympian pool will be temporarily closed, you can find more info below
The Lympo NFT Minting Platform Will be Bridged to Polygon
Lympo excited to announce that they’ll be joining Polygon Studios, a new NFT-centric gaming and metaverse hub designed to facilitate Web 3 integration. This allows them to bridge LMT and all Lympo sports NFTs to the Polygon network and develop blockchain games on Polygon. Of course, their Blockchain games will use Lympo NFTs to enhance user experience and will bring additional utility to the Lympo NFT minting platform.
What does this mean?
Initially launched on the Ethereum blockchain, we’re taking the steps necessary to make our NFT minting platform multichain, starting with the bridge to Polygon. Moving from Ethereum to Polygon will
- Significantly lower transaction fees. Allowing for an easier, more affordable and convenient way to mint and trade Lympo sports NFTs.
- Enable new features & opportunities. We’ll be adding a new feature called “NFT STAKING”, making our NFTs more interactable and giving you more options.
- Support the launch of play-to-earn blockchain games. Polygon is a powerhouse when it comes to blockchain gaming. They already work with the majority of blockchain-based Web3 games & developers.
Their goal is to open up the Lympo platform and digital collectibles to a broader audience by becoming a true multichain project.
How Will The Merge Happen?
Following the move to Polygon Lympo users will have all their Lympo NFTs airdropped to their Polygon wallets. Lympo has an active staking ecosystem in place, and participating users will have all of their minting credits transferred automatically.
After the merge, you’ll be able to view all of your Lympo NTFs on your Polygon wallet. All you need to do is connect to the Polygon Web Wallet using MetaMask.
Biggest Changes After The Merge
Once Lympo moves to the Polygon Blockchain, there will be a lot of new functionality available for all Lympo users. Here’s a run-down of all the new opportunities & features we plan to implement after the merge.
- Available NFT Amounts Are Changing
They will be adjusting the amount of mintable uncommon and common NFTs. The common NFT mintable limit will be reduced from 5000 to 1000 cards. As for uncommon Lympo NFTs the limit will be changed from 1000 to 500. They will be adding more methods of getting Lympo NFTs besides minting. So, the new limits are in place to keep all Lympo NFTs limited and scarce.
2. Faster Swapping Between Blockchains
They’re working with several cross-chain service providers to bridge LMT tokens between the Ethereum, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain blockchains. Once this is done, users will be able to enjoy a true multichain experience and swap LMT between all of the most popular solutions on the market.
3. Blockchain Games
Their first-ever play-to-earn blockchain game will arrive later in 2022. Users will be able to leverage their LMTs and Lympo sports NFTs in-game to claim rewards or participate in special events.
4. NFT Staking
They’re finalizing the launch of our NFT Staking platform. Users will be able to stake their Lympo NFTs and in return, earn LMT and partner tokens. How much LMT users earn will depend on the combination of Lympo NFTs that the user chooses to stake. This once again brings additional interaction and utility to the Lympo NFT ecosystem.
5. The O’Lympian Pool Will Be Disabled For a Short Period of Time
Following the merge, they will be disable minting of new O’Lympian NFTs, while we check if everything is in order. However, all O’lympian NFTs will be available to be used in the upcoming NFT staking feature, even while the minting pool is disabled.
