Crypto Unicorns Integrates Chainlink VRF to Help Power Random In-Game Rewards
Laguna Games is excited to announce that Crypto Unicorns — a digital pet collecting and farming play & earn game — has integrated Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on Polygon mainnet. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, they now have access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to randomly choose rewards for players of Crypto Unicorns: The Dark Forest, is their first fully on-chain minigame. Ultimately this creates a more exciting, transparent, and fraud-proof user experience, as users who stake their Unicorns to try to win a Shadowcorn NFT in the Dark Forest minigame will have higher assurances that the winners are selected at random.
“We found it very easy to integrate with Chainlink and are happy with the verifiable randomness Chainlink VRF provides. We plan to expand our use of Chainlink VRF to other on-chain minigames in the Crypto Unicorns universe in the future.” — Neeraj Kashyap, Moonstream DAO Founder
About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming, and other major industries, and offers global enterprises and leading data providers a universal gateway to all blockchains.
