Gala Games integrates Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on the Ethereum mainnet. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, Gala now has access to a tamper-proof and verifiable random number generator (RNG) that can help power truly random VOX drops and item distribution from Snoop Stash Boxes.

Moreover, the ultimate solution to this problem comes in the form of Chainlink VRF. It works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-commit private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof.
Furthermore, Gala Games smart contracts only accept the random number input if it has valid cryptographic proof. The cryptographic proof can generates if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This helps provide users with automated and publicly verifiable proof directly on-chain that each randomness-needing game that uses Chainlink VRF for randomness is provably fair and cannot be tamper with or predicted by the oracle, outside entities, or the Gala Games team.
