Chief Toad integrates Chainlink VRF to help generate provably random NFT traits.
By integrating the tamper-proof and provably fair random number generator (RNG) to help generate Chief Toad NFT traits, its community now has high assurances that no user — regardless of who they are — will have an unfair advantage when minting or be able to snipe NFTs with rare traits.

Verifiability is a core requirement for many Web3 users. While it’s easy for its community to verify the on-chain minting activity to see whether all members are playing by the rules there was no easy way to show our community that the randomness used to generate NFT traits — which plays a large role in how valuable NFTs are in the marketplace — was provably fair.
INTEGRATION IMPORTANCE
On-chain methods for generating randomness such as using block hashes can be manipulated by savvy miners. On the other hand, using a centralized server to generate the randomness is opaque and makes it impossible for users to independently verify the randomness’ integrity.
