Port Finance Launches Hedge Innovation Zone
Port Finance, a non-custodial money market protocol on Solana, launches Hedge Innovation Zone, in partnership with Hedge Labs, a protocol that enables the minting of USH, a stablecoin soft-pegged to the US dollar.
Port Finance launches Hedge Innovation Zone, an isolated lending pool, separated from the main Port pool, which aims to boost the usage of $USH in the Solana Ecosystem.
Introduction to Hedge
Hedge is a protocol that enables the minting of USH, a stablecoin soft-pegged to the US dollar. USH is minted on flexible terms and gives users instant access to the USH ecosystem.
Hedge allows users to take out 0% interest loans for a one-time fee by depositing collateral for USH. Users are incentivized to keep their collateral-to-debt ratio above 110% to avoid liquidation. When an undercollateralized vault is liquidated, users who have deposited USH in a stability pool are returned discounted collateral as a reward. USH is always redeemable for its underlying value, but a fee ensures the protocol is impacted infrequently.
How can users take advantage of this Hedge Innovation Zone?
Users can deposit $BTC/$SOL/$mSOL/$USH and borrow $USH, earnings of $HDG and $PORT are claimable at Penguin Finance.
$USH that is borrow can be redeposit back into the innovation hub. You can do this a couple of times folding it. If you are over-folding it, you might have a hard time unwinding the position if you don’t have spare currency, thus please proceed only if you are aware of such risk. (Fold strategy) AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Users can provide $USH-$USDC on Orca.so or Saber.so and yield 67%/27% APR respectively.
You can also form a LP with the borrowed assets and stake at Saros Finance.
