Smartlink Introduces Real-World Web3 Marketplace
Smartlink, a Web3 application marketplace and escrow platform, introduces its Real-World Web3 Marketplace.
Smartlink introduces its main product, the Real-World Web3 Marketplace, a decentralized marketplace comparable to Facebook for bitcoin users. Throughout the year, the web3 solutions supplier has made great development, delivering two products in as many quarters.
Overview of Smartlink
Furthermore, Smartlink solves the issues of trust deficit and transactional risk in online marketplaces by providing a decentralized marketplace for Web3 users. Most digital marketplaces, such as Facebook Marketplace, operate as a technological enablers by providing merchants with a platform to list and sell their items. When it comes to dealing with transactional disputes or fraudulent transactions, however, these platforms provide little to no protection.
Indeed, to protect funds throughout the transaction, Smartlink Marketplace employs a decentralized escrow technology.
How Smartlink Decentralized Marketplace Works
- Sellers may list their items using a straightforward web-based interface.
- Interested purchasers should contact the vendor to obtain further information and check that the item is still available.
- Any of the supported cryptocurrencies can be used to secure the goods by the buyer. The buyer must transfer enough money to cover platform costs (1% of the transaction value or 0.5% if utilizing the Smartlink platform’s native token, SMAK), blockchain fees, and the cost of the product. This money is put into the escrow smart contract.
- The buyer may then go pick up the item, check it, and authorize the transaction if the item meets their expectations.
- When the buyer authorizes the transaction, the smart contract distributes the escrow money to the seller’s wallet automatically.
Smartlink Marketplace’s initial edition includes full support for physical items. Smartlink’s future updates will include third-party tracking and logistical capabilities.
Olivier Audino, co-founder of Smartlink said “We are really excited to go live with the first Web3 facebook-like marketplace for people to use their digital assets in the real world. We’re also confident that the product will make the blockchain space more intelligible to regular users and help foster its adoption.”
