Saga is pleased to announce a partnership with Champion Games, a Web3 venture-funded game studio born in Barcelona, Spain.

Overview

The company is dedicated to creating innovative Web3 video games, where people will have the opportunity to experience real-life sports roles in the metaverse — starting with MetaSoccer. They have partnered with some of the top companies in the space such as Polygon, DeFiance Capital, ParaFi and Kyros Ventures to name a few.

About Champion Games and the Saga Innovator Program

Saga is building Web3 infrastructure solutions to enable developers to build applications with their own dedicated blockspace. Dedicated blockspace ensures high throughput, no dependencies on other applications using Saga, easy upgradability and congestion relief. In addition, gas fees for infrastructure remain predictable and are by default hidden from the end user, allowing developers to use any token or currency for their applications. The automated deployment of dedicated blockspace will be secured via interchain security by the same set of validators that underlie the Saga mainnet.

Champion Games is working on two active projects: BeManager and MetaSoccer. BeManager is a football fantasy video game where you can create a team with the best soccer stars, and, according to the performance of your players in real matches, you will obtain a score and may become a champion. BeManager has extended to several countries and has more than 2 million participants. MetaSoccer, on the other hand, is the first soccer and football manager video game with earning potential in the metaverse. In this unique space, participants are able to create a team, manage their financial and sports strategies, and compete in official leagues. This first-ever soccer experience gives participants the opportunity to own game assets and earn rewards by playing, which can be converted into real income.

In coming months, Champion Games will evaluate Saga and our tools as a potential scaling solution to their own suite of games.
