Introducing the ALTMEXUSD and DEFIMEXUSD Perpetual Swap Contracts

Trading platform that offers investors access to the global financial markets using only Bitcoin, BitMEX Exchange introduces ALTMEXUSD and DEFIMEXUSD Perpetual Swap Contracts.

Bitmex  mission is to give their users the most relevant and innovative products to trade. Now they are taking one step further by listing the BitMEX Basket Indices  covering both the Altcoin (.BALTMEX) and DeFi (.BDEFIMEX) markets. As of today, BitMEX users will also be able to trade the ALTMEXUSD and DEFIMEXUSD Quanto Perpetual Swaps with a max leverage of 25x.

The BitMEX Basket Index is constructed as a weighted average (by Index Multiplier) price of the constituents (eg .BBNBT). The Index Multipliers for the BitMEX Basket indices are rebalanced and updated on the last Friday of each calendar quarter. Any changes of the constituent and a Conditional Index Multiplier will be announced 7 days before the rebalance, based on the market capitalisation analysis conducted 4 days before the announcement.
