Solcery introduces Solcery Runic Forge, a protocol that lets you turn any NFT you own on Solana into a game asset and use it in all games on Solcery.

Your NFTs can become customized items, playable cards, hero characters, or powerful spells. This lets you both own all the assets in the games you play and play with anything you already own, granting your digital property a second life.

How it works for Players

• Pick any of your NFTs on Solana that you want to onboard into Solcery

Currently, Solcery Runic Forge supports any NFTs with 2D graphics (png, jpeg, gif). Subsequent iterations will add support for music files, videos, and 3D models.

• Get a Solcery Rune

Solcery Runes are consumable NFTs used to forge your NFT. You will be able to farm them in games on Solcery — by playing, obtaining achievements, or reaching certain ranks.

• Forge your NFT in Solcery Runic Forge

Bring both your NFT and Solcery Rune to the Solcery Runic Forge and press “forge”. The rune will be forged (and burned) into your NFT to make it compatible with all Solcery games.

• Play with your NFT on Solcery

Your NFT will then be supported in all games on Solcery.

How it works for game creators

• Come up with a game idea

Maybe you want to make a game for a specific NFT collection — a PvP brawler for all the Degen Apes or a single-player match-3 for Bold Badgers, for example.

• Pick abilities

Decide which game entities players will use their NFTs for and what game mechanics you will grant them. For example, in “Solitary,” our single-player roguelike game, players can bring in their NFTs and use them as sidekicks — characters who help you during the run and give one unique ability card per turn to choose from.

• Support NFT collections

As a creator, you can give all NFTs used in your game the same set of abilities. Or you can go deeper and assign unique traits to assets from different collections. Later on, you will even be able to segregate collections by individual properties of any item.
