Rebel Bots Play-to-Earn Game Raises $2M from Animoca Brands, Ubisoft and Overwolf
Rebel Bots, an upcoming NFT game on the Polygon blockchain, announced that Animoca Brands, the company driving digital property rights via NFTs and gaming to help build the open metaverse, has joined as one of its key investors.
Animoca Brands joins other top tier investors announced last month including Ubisoft and Overwolf. In total, Rebel Bots raised $2M in its private token sale round from gaming and blockchain companies and funds. The announcement sparked strong growth in Rebel Bots’ available NFT collection in the lead up to the public launch of their governance token which will be held at the beginning of March.
This successful funding round comes a few months after the Rebel Bots initial game NFT collection was sold out in August, which allowed the team to build an engaged community and generated an additional $1 million for the game’s development.
Rebel Bots Xoil Wars is developed on Unity and will be launched on both web and mobile platforms in Q2 this year. The makers have years of experience in developing hugely popular social games for mobile, and aspire to make their new game suitable for all gaming fans, with fast onboarding for new players, rich gameplay, and integrated player-to-player social features.

Rebel Bots have their goals set on becoming one of the biggest names in the rapidly growing play-to-earn industry.
