- Any of the supported cryptocurrencies can be used to secure the goods by the buyer. The buyer must transfer enough money to cover platform costs (1% of the transaction value or 0.5% if utilizing the Smartlink platform’s native token, SMAK), blockchain fees, and the cost of the product. This money is put into the escrow smart contract.
- The buyer may then go pick up the item, check it, and authorize the transaction if the item meets their expectations.
- When the buyer authorizes the transaction, the smart contract distributes the escrow money to the seller’s wallet automatically.
Smartlink Marketplace’s initial edition includes full support for physical items. Smartlink’s future updates will include third-party tracking and logistical capabilities.
