Swing Integration with deBridge

Swing announced the integration of deBridge and deSwap, a protocol developed with the deBridge generic messaging infrastructure, to enable more capital-efficient and frictionless cross-chain value transfers and swaps in a single transaction.

This integration of Swing with deBridge allows for capital-efficient and smooth cross-chain value transfers in a single transaction.

Overview

deBridge is a secure cross-chain infrastructure that enables seamless interoperability between blockchains while powering message and liquidity transfers. The protocol enables projects to connect smart contracts that exist on different chains, bundling them with value transfer into a single transaction (tx). This offers up a slew of strong options, including cross-chain value transfer + any arbitrary activity, cross-chain arbitrage, and NFT transfers.

While deBridge is an infrastructural layer connecting blockchains, it also supports various complementary dApps (called deApps). These include deSwap (cross-chain AMM), dePort (development of cross-chain synthesizers), and deNFT (coming soon). When NFTs are published, they will interoperate across chains.

How Does It Work?

deBridge is a messaging infrastructure that enables general-purpose cross-chain message exchanges. This implies that developers may create contracts that performs across various blockchains, with deBridge conveying the instructions through the CALLDATA command. This, together with the implementation of off-chain validation, provides the door for a nearly infinite number of dApps to make use of the benefits of sending currency and messages in the same transaction.

There are essentially three sorts of data that may be sent to the target chain using deBridge:

  • Value (i.e. tokens and liquidity)
  • Messages
  • Value + Messages

Cross-chain swaps and value transfers are the most apparent applications for this technology, allowing orders to be completed across various chains to receive the best available cost. Swing presently uses deBridge in this manner, but the infrastructure also allows developers to create cross-chain yield farming, arbitrage, governance, lending, and other protocols and applications that want to use cross-chain messaging.

Security Features

When a cross-chain transaction is initiated using the deBridge smart contract, it is given a unique hash. This hash serves as a transaction identifier and ensures that each message sent over the deBridge protocol is unique. Before validation happens, deBridge validators follow emitted events to deBridge on all supported chains. Wait for finality to establish on the source chain until the individual transaction reaches finality.

If everything is correct, it is sign by the validator set using their matching private keys and upload to the deBridge API. These validator signatures, maintains on IPFS as proof and may obtain by anybody (user/keeper) to be sent via the deBridge smart contract on the destination chain. If the deBridge validators meet the minimum signature requirement (8/12), the transaction will execute and the call data will sent to the destination chain.

This configuration provides both transparency and security by providing all parties with a clear picture of tx progress and finality. It’s also worth noting that deBridge has undergone over 17 audits, has an active bug bounty program, and has a wide range of security implementations and procedures in place.

deSwap

deSwap, the first cross-chain AMM created by the deBridge team to take advantage of the protocol’s ability to execute multichain swaps.

Features:
  • Speed: trades finalize in less than 2 minutes for most blockchains.
  • Simplicity: unlike some cross-chain platforms, deSwap doesn’t require users to have the gas token or the tokens to be claim on the destination chain.
  • Efficiency: Optimal routing minimizes slippage and provides greater capital efficiency. All of these features will  improve with the launch of DLN.

deSwap Liquidity Network (DLN)

deSwap Liquidity Network (DLN), a new cross-chain value transfer architecture and design for channeling liquidity cross-chain. With DLN, there’s no need for locked liquidity or wrapped assets. Instead, liquidity is supplying on demand in the most capital efficient way possible, all with low fees and no slippage.

The design of DLN overcomes many of the downsides to operating in multiple blockchain ecosystems. Such as the need to launch dedicated liquidity mining campaigns which has been the case to date. Typically, liquidity is trap on one network. It cannot be readily move to where it is need in a timely manner. With DLN, liquidity is transmit swiftly and without the danger of frozen liquidity.

The other advantage to DLN versus incumbent solutions is that DLN supports zero-slippage transfers. Indeed. this ensures that users and projects don’t see profits eroded through excessive bridging fees.

Overall Features that define DLN include:
  • Zero slippage on any order side
  • Unlimited market depth
  • Guaranteed rates and lowest fees
  • Fastest settlement for cross-chain transfers
  • Native token bridging (no wrapped assets)
  • Limit orders for cross-chain swaps
  • Zero locked liquidity (0 TVL) at risk

About Swing

Swing is a unified cross-chain solution for crypto liquidity and bridge aggregation on major EVM & Non-EVM networks such as Polygon, BSC, Avalanche, Moonriver, Harmony, xDai, Arbitrum, Fantom, and more. However, Swing’s widget comes with custom configurations for 30+ cross-chain bridges and liquidity sources along with thousands of supported tokens. Through their SDK, Widget & API, Swing enables web3 developers to reduce go-to-market time on their product by letting them easily connect their dApp to cross-chain liquidity from bridges, and blockchains with just a few lines of code.
