API3 Has Partnered with Kadena

API3 is excited to announce a partnership and integration with Kadena, the only braided high throughput blockchain platform designed to be secure, scalable, and decentralized. Kadena will be making API3’s data available to developers using their platform, and API3 will assist where possible sourcing data for them.

About Kadena

Built by the creators of JP Morgan’s first blockchain, Kadena’s public blockchain, Chainweb, is the only scalable sharded layer-1 proof-of-work blockchain currently in production, with its scalability achieved by braiding together multiple BTC-like chains. In 2020 Kadena performed a live expansion from 10 to 20 chains in production, and more can be added in future to dynamically scale throughput while increasing security. In addition, Kadena has a highly efficient permissioned private blockchain called Kuro, which offers high TPS and low latency and serves as a robust layer 2 solution for fast finality.

By making liquidity and market data available to developers on Kadena, API3 will benefit dapp developers, through allowing access to Airnode-enabled APIs and dAPIs for first party, quantifiably secure data.

The initial Kadena integration will involve data being bridged across, but, once use cases are established, API3 will look to enable a sub-DAO tasked with creating and maintaining a full integration.
