DeFi Warrior Integrates with Chainlink Price Feeds
DeFi Warrior is excited to announce that they have integrated Chainlink Price Feeds on the Binance Smart Chain mainnet. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, DeFi Warrior now has access to high-quality, tamper-proof price feeds needed to boost character strength. This will help provide their users with strong assurances that character stats and battles are fair and in accordance with real-time global markets.
In DeFi Warrior, each Warrior has special stats referred to as a Buff Chart. Essentially, the Buff Chart is part of determining the Warrior’s strength. Each DeFi warrior character represents a real crypto and its strength in battle is based on price changes within 4-hour time periods as supplied by Chainlink..
In other words, a Warrior’s strength is based on price changes in the market. For example, say there are 2 characters, BTC and ETH. Within a 4 hour candlestick, the BTC price changes 10% and the ETH price changes 5%. Then, the BTC character will have stronger hitting powers in comparison to ETH during a battle.
DeFi Warrior chose Chainlink as their go-to oracle solution because its infrastructure is seamless to integrate and time-tested in production. Chainlink already helps secure leading DeFi protocols responsible for tens of billions of dollars in smart contract value, maintaining robust security and high availability even amidst unexpected events, such as exchange downtime, flash crashes, and data manipulation attacks via flash loans.

In order to secure the boosting of character strength within our DeFi game, we needed access to fresh asset prices that are supplied directly on-chain in a highly reliable manner. Fair market asset prices should reflect a volume-weighted average from all trading environments. Thus, we needed to make use of an oracle to fetch aggregated price data off-chain and deliver it on-chain to be consumed by our application.
