Blockchain Monster Hunt Introducing Ambro
Blockchain Monster Hunt is excited to introduce their in-house EVM Ambros chain. This chain is used as the gas balancer for all chains in their network.
When they released their cross-chain bridge last week, it was the first milestone in their multi-chain vision. Today, they’re introducing Ambros, an EVM chain designed to optimize the gas-fee problem of other blockchain networks that will be linked to the existing multi-chain ecosystem via the bridge. This will be the next step in their vision to support a fully on-chain game.
Why We Need Ambros:
The gas fee is a big issue to combat in the mission to create a fully on-chain game experience. Players have to pay a high cost to complete any single task or fight in a single battle. More importantly, the fee is excluded from the game tokenomics as it is collected by miners, so it takes value out of the ecosystem instead of adding it back as a reward for players. Furthermore, there are no existing chains that are optimized for gaming logic. For example, there is often too much congestion in their networks and the gas limit and input parameter size are too inflexible for our game’s complex logic.
They introduced Ambros to serve as the solution for the issues mentioned above. With this new chain, the team and partners (who work as node validators) can have more control over the gas fee and develop more advanced features to provide better solutions for the on-chain game experience.
This in-house chain does not conflict with their multi-chain vision. Players can play on any chain they want and freely transfer the token (both ERC-20 and NFT) across all chains to approach the broader community and indirectly increase the value of the token.
Security & Consensus
Ambros is currently a Proof of Authority (POA) network operated by validators. They’ll be announcing the Ambros validators along the way with the development progress. The bridge to other networks is powered by pNetwork solutions.
Ambros is a long-term plan and it will be tested carefully in Testnet before releasing for public use (ETA is in a 1 year timeframe). They are also holding a bug bounty program with BCMC rewards for their Community Developers to help ensure Ambros has no major bugs. More details will be announced later.
How Does it Impact Blockchain Monster Hunt?
A new attribute called “energy” is added to the Blockchain Monster Hunt game. For every in-game transaction players make (such as catching or battling), the system will calculate its gas fee and add to the player’s energy. Players can then convert energy to AMBR to pay the transaction fee in the Ambros network.
Energy is the off-chain attribute and is used as the compensation for the transaction fee players need to spend on another network to play the game.
Ambros Testnet Information:
Name: Ambros Chain Testnet
Symbol: AMBR
ChainId: 8888
RPC: https://testnet.ambroschain.com
Explorer: https://testexplorer.ambroschain.com
Faucet: AMBR will be claimed via energy in the Blockchain Monster Hunt game.
Timeline
- Ambros Testnet will be released together with their open beta on 8th Nov 2021. Players can catch and battle Monsters on the Ambros chain.
- The Mainnet will be released in Q2 2022 during the GRANITE version.
What’s Next in the Blockchain Monster Hunt Timeline?
- The open beta is delayed to 8th Nov 2021 as they want to launch it together with the Ambros Testnet and another partner chain (more details will be announced in the coming few days).
- Monsters sold via launchpads will be distributed in the first week of November.
- The marketplace will be released on 11th Nov 2021 on all three networks (ETH, BSC, and Polygon) right after the last Genesis Monster sale. The NFT bridge is enabled at the same time.
- CEX listing is expected to be in November.
- The Mainnet launch is expected to be in December.
