The Features of Zenith CEX – Security

Published on: 25.02.2022

The Zenith Chain Centralized Exchange is set for release on the 10th of March 2022. To maintain anticipation amongst community members and keep them up to date, Zenith  are releasing a series titled “Features of the Zenith CEX”.

This series covers the different features of the Zenith CEX. Considering the numerous features that Zenith Chain offers.

Below are some of the security features of the Zenith CEX.

  1. Cold Wallet — To ensure security of the digital assets stored within the Zenith CEX, the Zenith Chain development team has chosen to store all assets on the exchange in a cold wallet. A cold wallet is a hardware device specifically designed for the purpose of storing cryptocurrencies. Unlike software wallets, no hacker can gain access into your hardware wallet. The only way to gain access into a cold wallet is to get the cold wallet itself.
  2. Biometric Authentication — Android and iOS applications of the Zenith CEX along with the web version will be released soon.  For users who will get either app, Zenith are adding the biometric fingerprint feature. This feature will further enforce security of your tokens. Furthermore, biometric authentication remains the most secure protection feature to use. Unless a hacker can forge your fingerprint, it is impossible for them to access your digital funds.
  3. Password —  Adding the use of passwords to the web, Android and iOS versions. Unless someone else has your password, they cannot access your Zenith CEX account. The platform encourage users to use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters along with the use of numbers and special characters when creating passwords. Also, avoid using your account on a third party device. Should you login to your account from a public device, ensure to logout and clear the browser history.
  4. Multiple Authentication — Another feature of the Zenith CEX that ensures security is the use of multiple authentication. This multiple authentication applies to when users want to login to their account and when they want to transfer funds from the Zenith CEX to another crypto wallet. After inputting your password on a new device, users will have to prove that they are the owners of the account.
  5. KYC Verification — After creating an account with Zenith CEX, you will have to verify your identity to get complete access to all the features of its exchange. This verification exercise is also a security measure. It ensures that Zenith know their customers, while providing them a secure platform for trading digital assets.
