PathDAO Formed an Alliance with Cxmmunity!

PathDAO is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cxmmunity, a company committed to the increasing diversity and representation in technology and gaming.

With esports as one of the fastest growing industries and lucrative trends of the 21st century, PathDAO believes that this partnership will bring out a synergy between the two–with PathDAO widening its exposure to the esports space, while immersing itself into a shared advocacy of promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity; and with Cxmmunity expanding its roster of focus on strengthening its curriculum to blockchain gaming and the metaverse in its advocacy centered mission to uplift the underserved.

Cxmmunity was founded in February 2020 by Ryan Johnson, the technology-passionate CEO of the company. His research has led him to identify the problem: that despite the adaptation of numerous colleges and K-12 schools in embracing esports as a way to integrate competitive video games into the curriculum, there is a lack of esports clubs within primarily African-American and Hispanic education systems. This is largely due to the capital expenses associated with the technology required to establish and compete.

Johnson also recognizes the need to bridge the existing disparity and polarization in who are developing games versus those who are playing them. Only about 2–3% of developers are African American.

With these identified problems and the belief that the wave of esports is a force this age must reckon with, Cxmmunity was birthed.

Now, Cxmmunity provides underserved students access to career paths in the billion-dollar industry of esports and video games through STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) learning and exposure to esports competitions. Their flagship program is the HBCU Esports League, where Historically Black Colleges & Universities students are given opportunities to compete, showcase, and cement themselves as major cogs in the professional talent in collegiate esports. Some members of the Cxmmunity team are also HBCU alumni.

Cxmmunity has also partnered with technology giants such as Verizon and Riot Games to land career placements for their gamers.

PathDAO and Cxmmunity are both organizations that embody corporate social responsibility, levelling up the playing field by investing in driven and talented scholars who can make ripples within the new era of gaming. This is a meld of societal impact, inclusivity, and technological disruption by the action of investing in people.

This partnership is in line with PathDAO’s vision of leveraging the introduction of the masses of Web2 users into the Web3 space using blockchain gaming as a gateway. Tapping into the massive whitespace of Web2 gamers and the rapidly growing gaming industry will be crucial to fulfilling their treasury value growth mandate.

PathDAO also holds the belief that Cxmmunity’s game distribution is a core asset in the next few years and whoever can hack this will be in a prime position to emerge at the top of this environment.

With a game community that excels in distribution, it is strategically sound to say that it will only be a matter of time for the DAO to reach the critical masses crucial in its ecosystem–be it gaming platforms, fintech, and other forms of media.

It may not be long before the impact of esports and blockchain gaming may compare to that of the SuperBowl. As an accelerating billion-dollar combined market, investors would be prudent to take the industry seriously.
