DeGameFi Integrates Chainlink VRF

DeGameFi Integrates Chainlink VRF to Help Bring Verifiable Randomness to Its in-game Lucky Draw.

DeGameFi — the first tech-driven platform of crypto-native games, has integrated Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on the BNB Chain mainnet. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, DeGameFi now has access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to ensure that the token lucky draw process powered by DeGameFi is fair. Ultimately this creates a more exciting and transparent user experience. Users can have high assurances that all on-chain interactions in games, especially game features with probability algorithms, are provably fair.

DeGameFi is the first tech-driven platform for crypto-native games. Powered by the Metaverse Gaming Protocols (MGP), it provides fully-decentralized games that are highly playable and interconnected to build a diverse game universe in Web3.

  • NFT on-chain upgrade
  • NFT cross-chain mapping bridge
  • Decentralized social network

The vision of DeGameFi is to build a portal into a cross-chain & cross-IP Metaverse for most users. Full of independent and interconnected games and also abundant NFTs from different blockchains.

In order to ensure the token lucky draw process in-game, especially game features with probability algorithms, are verifiably random and provably fair. DeGameFi needs access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit.

However, RNG solutions for smart contracts require several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions derived from blockchain data like block hashes can be exploited by miners/validators, while off-chain RNG solutions derived from off-chain APIs are opaque and don’t provide users with definitive proof of the integrity of the process.

Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof.

The DeGameFi smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has valid cryptographic proof. The cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof.

ABOUT Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts. With a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications.
