Hypersign and Router Protocol Collaboration
Hypersign and Router Protocol Collaborate to Create Cross-Chain DID Resolver for Decentralized Identifiers.
Hypersign and Router Protocol to jointly research and develop multichain decentralized identity infrastructure.
By joining forces with one of the robust cross-chain infrastructure protocols. Hypersign will be working closely with Router Protocol to make its decentralized identity and access management solutions truly multichain compatible.
In addition, The latest development is a positive step towards making Hypersign future-ready. Capable of catering to the rising requirement for cross-chain decentralized identifiers (DIDs) amid increased blockchain adoption across industry segments. In a decentralized setting, the DIDs act as a secure, seamless and a convenient option for user authentication and access management. By safeguarding the privacy of users while ensuring data integrity, on-chain KYC compliance and opening areas of user-generated data monetization. DIDs have found their use cases in not just the web3 ecosystem but also on many web2 platforms.
Addressing the Demand for Cross-Chain DID Resolver
Hypersign is one of the leading projects to offer decentralized identity and access management solutions including on-chain KYC to various industries. Featuring predominantly in the list of industries are DeFi ecosystems. Which are increasingly operating on multiple chains to leverage maximum liquidity while catering to a larger audience. The multi-chain nature of these projects also forces DeFi use cases of decentralized identifiers in Identity federation and privacy sub-chain to be cross-chain compatible, supporting DID queries across all supported chains.
With cross-chain DID resolving capabilities, dApps will be able to verify their users on different chains, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements before onboarding them. However, most present-day DID solutions are blockchain-specific which has resulted in the creation of siloed user pools. To streamline the process and offer equitable service to all users, there is an immediate need for blockchain agnostic DID solution.
The latest partnership will allow Hypersign and Router Protocol, both leaders in their respective fields, to collaborate towards research and development of cross-chain identity verification techniques. The duo will be utilizing Router’s Crosstalk cross-chain communication framework to enable cross-chain identity verification using DIDs and DID documents.
A successful outcome of the collaboration will allow Hypersign to offer its DID and on-chain KYC solution over all the blockchains supported by Router Protocol. At present, Router is functional on 9 leading protocols — Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Fantom, Cronos, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche and Kava, with more to be added soon.
Meanwhile, as one of Hypersign’s partners, Router Protocol will be exploring the use of Fyre whitelisting tool for their community NFT drops.
About Router Protocol
Router Protocol is a project committed towards achieving true interoperability between all blockchain protocols with its suite of cross-chain infrastructure primitives. Router’s solutions are designed to enable seamless cross-chain interaction across existing and emerging Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain protocols.
