Chainlink Price Feeds provide Nereus Finance high-quality, tamper-proof price feeds to determine digital asset collateral values.
Chainlink already helps secure leading DeFi protocols responsible for tens of billions of dollars in smart contract value, maintaining robust security and high availability even amidst unexpected events, such as exchange downtime, flash crashes, and data manipulation attacks via flash loans.
Nereus Finance is a DeFi protocol enabling users to lend or borrow funds using their digital assets as collateral. In addition to pooled lending and borrowing, Nereus Finance also features the NXUSD stablecoin market. Users may deposit NXUSD on Wirexapp with collateral to earn more or spend it at over 90 million merchants.
To protect their core lending and borrowing activities, they required new asset values immediately on-chain. A volume-weighted average of all trading settings should determine fair market asset values. Thus, they needed to make use of an oracle network to fetch aggregated price data off-chain and deliver it on-chain to be consumed by our application.
