Plasm Network announces collaboration with Microsoft
Microsoft has accepted Stake Technologies, one of the core companies behind Plasm Network, for their Microsoft for Startups program. Together with Microsoft, we are going to start Shiden Azure Program by using Microsoft Azure when Shiden becomes a Kusama Parachain. In the long run, after stabilizing the network, we plan to list our own dApps and infrastructure services on the Microsoft Marketplace.
Let me explain a little bit about the background. We have been working with the Microsoft team for more than six months. Five months ago, we internally announced Plasm Validator Program and today, we are glad to see that more than 50 community members are participating in this program to run a validator on our testnet and the mainnet by using Azure.
So, what’s next?
Once Shiden Network becomes a Kusama Parachain, Shiden Network imports validators from Kusama Relaychain. Instead, Shiden needs to prepare for own collators.
At the very first point, only the core team and Plasm ambassadors can run Shiden’s collators because of this known issue. Then, we are going to decentralize the network step by step through this program.
Shiden Azure Program
As a next step, we will start the Shiden Azure Program once Shiden Network becomes a Kusama Parachain. Collators on Shiden Network will therefore be able to run a node on Azure with technical support from both Stake Technologies and Microsoft.

What is Microsoft for Startups?
Microsoft for Startups is a global program dedicated to helping startups successfully scale their products. Microsoft provides startups with access to powerful technology including Azure and GitHub Enterprise, coupled with a streamlined path to selling alongside Microsoft and their global partner ecosystem. Currently we are discussing how to make a robust network by leveraging Microsoft’s technologies.
How will Plasm be involved?
Using Microsoft’s Azure Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution, we will seek to promote blockchain technologies in the Plasm Network ecosystem, scaling them beyond the limited crypto space. As a first step, we are going to start Shiden’s validators program.
About Plasm
