XDEFI Wallet — Public Release 7.0
Thanks to the help of over 27,000 beta-testers, we’re proud to unveil XDEFI Wallet 7.0. As a public release, you’ll no longer need to hunt for a sign-up code to use our wallet. Just head over to the Chrome Store to download it now.
If you’ve already downloaded their wallet, it should have updated automatically. If not, you can manually update it by following the simple steps below:
- Go to chrome://extensions/ in your browser by clicking the little puzzle icon
- Click the “Developer Mode” button on the right side of the header
- Select “Update” in the top bar

Ape Mode: Exclusive to the fastest wallet in DeFi
They’ve been working on a very special feature for all you apes and degens. Ape Mode uses a proprietary gas algorithm to ensure transactions get into the next block every time, on every single chain. Simply turn the Ape Mode toggle on and you’ll be ready for the next NFT drop or gas war.
As their CEO Émile says, “In DeFi and NFTs, speed is alpha. Ape Mode will be an indispensable edge for XDEFI Wallet users. With XDEFI, you should never miss an opportunity due to a slow transaction.”
Optimised for EIP-1559: See network activity live
Unlike MetaMask’s recent redesign, we’ve created a new easy-to-use UI in response to EIP-1559. This allows users the maximum benefit from Ethereum’s London hard fork while still maintaining an accessible interface.
They’ve also added a network activity section in-app, reducing the need for reliance on third-party sites. If you want to learn more, keep an eye out for a future blog series explaining EIP-1559 and our EIP-1559 response.
UI Enhancements: Ensuring a streamlined experience
If you joined our recent AMA, you’ll have heard from our new UI/UX designer Jason. He has included a number of UI enhancements in this release to ensure a streamlined and accessible experience for both our new and existing users.
This includes new account management options, an account selector tab, a new navigation bar, an asset row and filter, and other UI enhancements.
Buy Crypto with Fiat via third-party Ramp
They’ve also added a new Buy Crypto option, allowing you to bring your fiat into DeFi via third-party Ramp. Unlike MetaMask and other competitors, they’re currently not charging a fee for this service on top of Ramp’s own fees (ranging from 0.99% — 2.9% with a minimum fee of 2.49 EUR).
Bug fixes and performance enhancements
As with any public release, they’ve worked hard to respond to all the bugs their amazing beta community has reported. If you run into any bugs or issues, please do let them know via their Discord and they’ll look into it right away.
