What is Melalie?
Founded by Jan Plas, Melalie was started to offer a decentralized and community driven alternative way to help local people and small entrepreneurs generate an income with their vehicles by providing travelers with easy modes of transportation. By doing so they aim to make better use of existing vehicles and have a positive impact on the environment as well as local economies.
The MEL token can be used to pay for transactions, as well as being able to earn a portion of the transaction fee from token holders who stake the token.
On each transaction in the network, there is a fee of 5% / 10%. This fee is distributed to all token holders who have staked the token and are developing a platform to allow for voting and submitting proposals as well.
Melalie currently operates in Indonesia and have over 400+ listed vendors on the platform and this year they are expanding to The Netherlands and Thailand!
